Our Story

Picture of Our Story

It all started back in 2014 at The Dunham School, in the awkward phases of 6th grade. That’s when Jase first saw Ainsley and immediately fell head over heels. His 12-year-old brain kicked into overdrive, and he came up with what he thought was a brilliant plan: follow her into the rain, hand her a rose, and ask her to be his Valentine. Shockingly… it worked. She said yes!

For a day.

The very next day, she said, “Never mind.” And just like that, his rom-com moment turned into a sitcom plot.

After that, things were quiet for a while. Sure, there were little crushes here and there, but nothing ever stuck. We stayed good friends throughout middle and high school, more like best friends, really cheering each other on through long-term relationships, awkward school dances, and everything in between.

Then senior year rolled around. Life got messy, real things happened, and somehow, through all of it, we got closer. We leaned on each other, laughed a lot, probably cried a little, and even went to prom together (strictly as friends, of course).

In 2021, we wrapped up high school, celebrated a championship, graduated, and spent the entire summer basically inseparable. And by October 10th of that year, we finally stopped pretending we were “just friends.” We started dating and never looked back.

Since then, it’s been a journey filled with late-night drives, Tuesday date nights, family trips, study sessions, holidays, anniversaries, and more laughs than we can count. Through all the ordinary moments, we found something pretty extraordinary.

Then, in August 2024, we made the most important decision of our lives: we gave our lives fully to Jesus. Not just as our Savior, but as our Lord. Our relationship grew stronger than ever as we started walking in faith together, serving, worshiping, and praying side by side.

And in June 2025, Jase finally asked the big question at City Park in downtown Baton Rouge. (Spoiler: she said yes—no take-backs this time.)

We felt so much love that day, and we can’t wait to celebrate even more with all of you. Thanks for being part of our story. The best is still ahead!
